Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of LEW (the “Service”). By using LEW, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. LEW is currently offered as a beta and is provided free of charge during this period.
1. The Service
LEW is a learning workspace providing notes, study rooms, Google Drive-backed file storage, Google Meet scheduling, and AI-assisted study tools. Because LEW is in beta, features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service may be unavailable at times.
2. Your account
You sign in to LEW using your Google account and are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and your school or institution’s policies. You must be old enough to consent to online services in your jurisdiction, or use LEW with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or institution.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload through LEW. Files you store remain in your own Google Drive. You grant LEW the limited permissions necessary to operate the Service on your behalf — for example, to create and organize files in your Drive, schedule meetings you request, and process content you submit to AI features. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and share any content you put into LEW.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LEW to:
- violate any law or the rights of others;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- harass, abuse, or harm other users in shared spaces such as study rooms;
- misuse AI features to generate unlawful or harmful content.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. AI features
AI-generated summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and answers may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are study aids, not authoritative sources — always verify important information. Usage of AI features may be limited (for example, by daily or monthly quotas) to keep the Service sustainable during beta.
6. Third-party services
LEW relies on third-party services including Google (Drive, Calendar, Vertex AI, Cloud Vision), Supabase, and Vercel. Your use of Google services through LEW is also subject to Google’s terms and policies. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Because LEW is a beta, we make no guarantees about availability, reliability, or that data will not be lost. Do not rely on LEW as your only copy of important data.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LEW and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using LEW at any time and can disconnect Google or delete your account from Settings → Account. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time during beta.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
